The Tale of Matcha Parfait

So when I’m in Vancouver, I’ve found a heavenly dessert namely Matcha Parfait from Chicco Dall Oriente in Robson St. I know the price is expensive but the taste is just too sinful to be ignored.

Green Tea Parfait

So, when I got back in Indonesia for (almost) good, I got the crave of Matcha Parfait. After browsing around, here are what I’ve found:

1. Pasta De Waraku’s Matcha Parfait

The first place that I visited is Pasta de Waraku at Grand Indonesia. The price is IDR 28.000. It’s a large portion so compared to the price and the place it’s quite appropriate. However, I’ve found that the sweet vanilla ice cream is just too dominating so I ditch it off. Verdict: I won’t eat it again unless somebody pay it for me and I ditch the vanilla ice cream part first.

2. Ten Ten’s Matcha Parfait

Ten Ten is a new Japanese Restaurant that specialize in tempura. I only like prawn tempura, slightly. I’ve found the Matcha Parfait (IDR 20.000) here is far much better than what I’ve found in Pasta de Waraku. There’s no annoying vanilla ice cream, just the matcha one. The portion is on the right part. I think I will come back again just for the parfait.
